Episode 2 of Into The Depths sees us arrive on British shores, to connect with Red Bull athlete and professional big wave surfer Andrew Cotton. Born in the city, he has conquered some of the most fearsome waves on the planet – including Nazare in Portugal, the home of the world record wave. But the life of a big wave surfer isn’t easy, and he has also had to tackle some huge challenges, including breaking his back whilst taking on the ‘Mount Everest’ of surfing. Andrew sits down with host Jonno Turner to discuss what it feels like to ride a wave ten storeys high, bouncing back from an almost career-ending injury, and why we all need to take better care of our oceans.
